Las Fuerzas Militares en Colombia se enfrentan al desafío de redefinir su papel en un escenario postacuerdos. La construcción de paz implica no solo garantizar la seguridad, sino también proteger los derechos humanos. Los retos incluyen la desmovilización y reintegración de excombatientes, la prevención del reclutamiento de menores y la lucha contra el narcotráfico. Las oportunidades radican en fortalecer el tejido social, promover el diálogo y la reconciliación, y contribuir al desarrollo sostenible. La efectividad de las Fuerzas Militares dependerá de su capacidad para adaptarse a estos nuevos roles y desafíos.

The Armed Forces in Colombia face the challenge of redefining their role in a post-agreement scenario. Peacebuilding involves not only guaranteeing security, but also protecting human rights.
