| dc.description | Las teorías en relaciones internacionales y los estudios en Seguridad y Defensa, han dependido en el pasado de suposiciones sobre la emoción que rara vez se articulaban y que pudieron no llegar a ser del todo correctas. Por ejemplo, la teoría de la disuasión puede haber sido fundamentalmente defectuosa porque sus suposiciones y prescripciones de política no reconocían completamente las respuestas humanas razonables a la amenaza y el miedo. De manera similar, las teorías liberales de cooperación bajo anarquía y la formación de comunidades de seguridad que enfatizaban el cálculo racional de los beneficios de la comunicación y la coordinación de los actores, eran deficientes en la medida en que no incluían una consideración cuidadosa de las emociones y las relaciones emocionales.
No obstante, varios académicos de diversas corrientes teóricas están considerando en la actualidad que las relaciones entre Estados y actores no estatales están impregnadas de un significado emocional, que llevarían a plantear nuevos escenarios y desafíos para la seguridad, la ética y otras áreas de la política global. | es-ES |
