The present study analyzes the strategic role of functional osteomuscular assessment in the operational health of the Military Forces of Colombia, with the aim of preventing musculoskeletal injuries and optimizing operational capacity. A qualitative, interpretive, and contextual approach was employed, based on bibliographic review and analysis of scientific evidence. Methods such as the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), modified FMS, Y Balance Test, and tensiomyography were evaluated, identifying advantages, limitations, and their applicability to the Comprehensive Health Care Model (MATIS). The results show that the FMS, complemented with specific tools, can reduce the incidence of injuries by up to 40% and improve functional performance. It is concluded that the systematic integration of these assessments strengthens preventive medicine, increases operational availability, and promotes an institutional culture oriented towards proactive health care..es_ES
