dc.description.abstractEl presente artículo analiza la gestión de activos en la Armada Nacional de Colombia, destacando su relevancia estratégica para la eficiencia operativa y la sostenibilidad institucional. Mediante una metodología mixta, se identificaron fortalezas, debilidades y oportunidades de mejora en los procesos actuales, a partir del estudio de documentos institucionales y encuestas. Posteriormente, se compararon modelos internacionales implementados por fuerzas armadas de Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, OTAN y Australia, extrayendo lecciones aplicables al contexto colombiano. Como resultado, se diseñó un modelo de gestión adaptado a las necesidades de la Armada Nacional, que incorpora tecnologías emergentes, buenas prácticas organizacionales y criterios de resiliencia. Esta propuesta busca optimizar el ciclo de vida de los activos, mejorar la toma de decisiones logísticas y fortalecer la capacidad operativa ante los desafíos contemporáneos de defensa del país. Todo ello se enmarca en la formulación de estrategias orientadas a la seguridad y defensa nacionales, desde una visión que articula la sostenibilidad institucional con el pensamiento estratégico y la modernización de la Fuerza Naval.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes asset management within the Colombian National Navy, highlighting its strategic relevance for operational efficiency and institutional sustainability. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study identified strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement in current processes, based on the review of institutional documents, surveys. It then compares international models implemented by the armed forces of the United States, the United Kingdom, NATO, and Australia, drawing lessons applicable to the Colombian context. As a result, a sustainable asset management model was designed, tailored to the specific needs of the National Navy. This model incorporates emerging technologies, organizational best practices, and resilience criteria. The proposal aims to optimize asset life cycles, enhance logistical decision-making, and strengthen operational capabilities in response to contemporary defense challenges. These efforts are framed within the formulation of strategies aligned with national security and defense, integrating institutional sustainability, strategic thinking, and the modernization of naval power.es_ES
