Human security is an expression that has its origin during the Second World War, however, it was in 1994 when that became more relevant, when was presented in one of the annual reports of the United Nations Development Program (PNUD), as a new notion of security, centered on people and communities more than in States. A sce-nario that led security and defense agencies to take measures to reduce vulnerabili-ties and reduce the risks to which human beings were exposed; translating into doc-trinal and structural changes, which would allow the use of the concept. This article seeks to present the application of human security in the Colombian National Army, in the period from 2010 to 2022, to identify the integration of this model in the doc-trine of land domain and its contribution to security and defense.
