Harmless evil in Cyberspace: Violence without violent acts and virtual harm; El mal inocuo en el ciberespacio: daño virtual y violencia sin actos violentos Cyberspace, a realm of virtual reality created by the electrical activity of computer equipment, is a kind of consensual hallucination, lines of light reaching the non-spaces of the mind, a non-place where interactions constantly occur between humans, avatars, data, algorithms, and emergent structures. Attracted by idyllic digital recreations that serve as a refuge, a large part of the world's population has moved there to escape an increasingly inhospitable real world. The nature of cyberspace is conducive to unleashing the strangest thoughts and darkest passions; it seems to have no limits and few regulations. There, improper practices bordering on criminality have arisen, shielded by anonymity and secrecy. These behaviors produce harmful phenomena—psychologically and physically damaging—that some researchers have termed virtual harm.; El ciberespacio, ámbito de realidad virtual creado por la actividad eléctrica de los equipos informáticos, suerte de alucinación consensual, líneas de luz que alcanzan los no espacios de la mente, no lugar donde ocurren constantemente interacciones entre humanos, avatares, datos, algoritmos y estructuras emergentes. Atraída por idílicas recreaciones digitales que le sirven de refugio, una gran parte de la población mundial se ha mudado allí para escapar de un mundo real cada vez más inhóspito. La naturaleza del ciberespacio es propicia para desatar los pensamientos más extraños y las pasiones más oscuras; parece no tener límite y pocas regulaciones; allí han surgido prácticas indebidas que rayan en la criminalidad amparadas por el anonimato y la clandestinidad. Estas conductas producen fenómenos nocivos, psicológica y físicamente lesivos que algunos investigadores han denominado daño virtual.

He led the development of cybersecurity regulations and guidelines for the Colombian electricity sector and actively contributes to the protection of critical infrastructure in Colombia. He is the author, co-author, and reviewer of numerous specialized publications. He has received important recognitions, including two (ISC)² Americas Information Security Leadership Awards in the Senior Information Security Professional category. He was also recognized as Outstanding Young Person of Antioquia and Colombia in technological development by Junior Chamber International (JCI) and honored by the Colombian National Police for his educational work in cybersecurity.; Profesional con más de 25 años de experiencia en gestión de riesgos, privacidad, ciberseguridad, seguridad de la información y sistemas de control industrial. Ha sido consultor, conferencista y catedrático a nivel nacional e internacional. Es autor, coautor y revisor de numerosas publicaciones especializadas. Ha recibido importantes reconocimientos, entre ellos dos veces el premio continental “Americas Information Security Leadership Awards” de (ISC)² en la categoría “Senior Information Security Professional”. También fue distinguido como Joven Sobresaliente de Antioquia y de Colombia en desarrollo tecnológico por la Cámara Junior Internacional (JCI) y condecorado por la Policía Nacional de Colombia por su labor educativa en ciberseguridad.
